Crocker for three

Orleans junior Rylan Crocker connects from beyond the arc for three of his 15 points during the Bulldogs’ 61-27 home win against Northeast Dubois on Friday, Dec. 8.

ORLEANS — An early defensive battle Friday night inside the Dawg House quickly turned into a lopsided win for the host Class 1A seventh ranked Orleans Bulldogs (3-1), earning a 61-27 win against the visiting Northeast Dubois Jeeps (2-2).

The Jeeps entered a high-intensity environment that saw referees allow players to play at a physical level, with the opening minutes featuring a pair of early turnovers for each squad before the Bulldogs took an initial 5-0 lead. Northeast Dubois junior forward Drew Schroering connected on a corner three and followed up with a drive to the basket to tie the game, 5-5 at the 4:36 mark.
